The Kaiser Chiefs were the surprise guests of the Simon Logan Breakfast show on Radio Aire in Leeds yesterday morning.
After playing in Scotland last night, the band travelled through the night bound for Leeds ahead of their gig at Elland Road tomorrow.
While on the show the band played several of their songs including Ruby, the station's £1000 song of the week, and went on to answer the winning call.
Simon Logan said: "They strolled into the studio and basically took over, they said they just thought they would pop in and say hi to their local station."
The band also appeared on the Chris Moyles show this morning, playing a live track from an un-named pub in Leeds, from which the entire show was broadcast from.
