Dixie replaces Ditchy at Real

Former Galaxy Yorkshire and Hallam FM presenter Dixie is joining GMG Radio to host the drivetime show on Real Radio Yorkshire, replacing David Ditchfield.

Whilst Ditchy left a couple of weeks ago to join the breakfast team at Century Radio in the north west, Barrow-in-Furness born Dixie, real name David Dixon, will take over the Yorkshire show on May 28th.
Dixie lives in Rotherham with his wife Lynn and eight-month-old son Billy. He said: “I can’t wait to get stuck into the new show. It’s great to be staying in Yorkshire as I love it here and I love chatting to the great Yorkshire public. I’m looking forward to being part of a strong new line up for Real Radio."
Tony McKenzie, programme director at Real Radio, added: “It’s fantastic to get a voice that’s familiar to Yorkshire onto Real Radio. Dixie will be a great addition to the team here.”
