Utopia's final trial broadcast


Sunderland's student radio station Utopia FM is broadcasting on a temporary Restricted Service Licence from Ofcom for the final time this month, ahead of its full time launch next year.

The station, which has been active in the city since 1997, is managed by volunteer students and is owned and operated by the University of Sunderland. The station was awarded community radio status in September last year. and aims to start broadcasting with the 10 year licence in 2009.
Utopia FM is running from May 10th to May 23rd on FM and online now until the 25th.
