New charity boss for GCap

Scope’s director of fundraising Louise Jagger is swapping the tasks of raising money for the disabled charity for a new position within GCap Media.

Louise will take up her new group role as director of charities following a career of over 20 years in national and regional fundraising, most recently as director of fundraising at Scope where she led a bid team to secure the charity’s largest single grant of over £4 million from the Big Lottery Fund. This together with her track record in strategy, corporate leadership and speaking at industry events has led to her being voted in this years top 50 most influential people in the Professional Fundraising Magazine poll.
Louise’s role will see her building on the strong tradition of fundraising and community engagement across GCap Media’s radio stations, including Capital 95.8, Classic FM and 20 stations in the company’s One Network.
Louise said: “I am delighted to be joining GCap Media and the team at such an exciting time. I am very proud to be associated with a company with such a long heritage of community support, with over £2.7 million awarded to charities last year.”
David Andrews, Director of Marketing, GCap Media added: “ Louise is a passionate advocate of the voluntary sector and is committed to increasing the effectiveness and transparency of the sector as well as the public’s understanding of charities, the role they play, the need for monies and confidence in how these monies are spent. She is sure to be a real asset to the company and take GCap Charities to the next level. We’re delighted to have her on board.
