Lawson heads for Golden Square

Bauer Consumer Media's digital marketing director Chris Lawson has been appointed as brand director at One Golden Square, ready for the re-launch of Virgin Radio in the Autumn.
Chris will report to newly installed chief operating officer Clive Dickens, and be responsible for developing both the new brand and the digital business.

Clive told RadioToday.co.uk: "This is a really exciting appointment for us and we are delighted to welcome Chris to the team. In building a global audio brand for the modern radio consumer, it is vital that we fully exploit the digital space.
"In Chris, we've found not only a highly experienced media marketeer but also someone who really understands the power and potential of new channels and the opportunities for our audience and our business partners."

Plans by new owners TIML include building "a new audio brand and business that meets the needs and expectations of the modern radio listener".
