Planet Rock leaves GCap in October
Newly independent digital station Planet Rock is to move to new studios at UBC's Lisson Street base in Marylebone. Staff and presenters will move from the current studios in GCap's Leicester Square offices in October.
The national digital rock service will be located in new, state of the art headquarters, built specifically for the station.
Malcolm Bluemel of Planet Rock said: “This is a dream come true for us. There is a close knit passionate team at Planet Rock, headed up by Trevor White, and all of us look forward to building on the amazing progress this fantastic radio station has already made.’’
Simon Cole, CEO of UBC Media commented: “I’m proud to have been chosen to provide services to Planet Rock and especially to build a facility for them within our offices. The team at Planet Rock have a single minded vision and we want to do whatever we can to help them bring that to reality.”
Planet Rock will be re-launching in October after its recent purchase by businessman Malcolm Bluemel.
