Roy Basnett’s Beyond the Dark show on Liverpool's City Talk 105.9 has won an award at the Spiritual Connextions Acknowledgement Awards 2008, also known as the Oscars of the paranormal world.
Roy came top against all other UK radio and TV programmes, with his show that takes a look in to the world of the paranormal, recently guest starring Derek Acorah, Richard Felix and Dr. Ciaran O’Keefe.
Roy’s award for Most popular spiritual audio/video content was voted for by members of the public and presented at a special ceremony at Portsmouth Guildhall.
City Talk’s station director, Richard Maddock, said: “We had a feeling Roy would win – not because we are psychic, but because of the really interesting and specialist content of ‘Beyond the Dark’. It is a great achievement for Roy and his City Talk team to win their very first award within a mere nine months of launching.”
