Global re-structure continues

More senior management changes have been announced at Global Radio as the company continues to restructure its sales operation ahead of the completion of its £375m merger with GCap Media in November.
In sales, five agency sales teams, one client sales team and one interactive sales team spanning the two companies have been created, whilst Paul Jackson has been appointed group programme director for 95.8 Capital FM, The Hit Music Network and the XFM Network.

From November 1st, when the integration of the GCap and Global sales teams is completed, the group’s entire commercial operation, nationally and locally, will be overseen by the newly created role of group commercial director. This role incorporates all of the group’s commercial offerings under a single management structure. Global's COO Don Thomson will be acting commercial director until such time as this appointment is announced.
Darren Henley will continue in his role as managing director of Classic FM, and will oversee Choice FM. He is also promoted to director of brand innovations. Mark Lee is appointed managing director-regions, overseeing operations and local sales across the new Heart Network, Hit Music and Gold stations.
Other appointments includes Mandy Edwards as HR director, Will Harding as group strategy and development director, Robin Pembroke as director of online and interactive and Nikki Vidler is appointed sales director of Classic FM.
Global founder and CEO, Ashley Tabor said: "I am convinced we have a strong senior management team now in place to take the company forward to the next stage.”
