More job losses at Global Radio?

Further redundancies are expected at Global Radio, after it was reported that London-based traffic operations as well as finance departments in Birmingham are to be re-located to Reading.
The move leaves a question mark over the future of over 30 Global and GCap staff in doubt.

According to Media Week, an internal e-mail was sent this afternoon to staff by Don Thomson, chief operating officer. Thomson said that the Birmingham staff are "currently considering their options".
The Global Radio traffic team, and a number of GCap traffic employees, currently based in London, have also been informed of this decision.
It is understood that affected Birmingham and London staff will have the option of moving to Reading, or taking redundancy.
