Shrewsbury and Oswestry station The Severn, which turns two years old next month, is to start sharing the mid morning presenter with Telford FM and The Wyre.
Ofcom has approved a request for the mid-morning presenter on Telford FM to record 'as-live; links for The Severn between 10am and 2pm weekdays and from 10am at weekends.
The regulator said The Future of Radio document outlined exactly this kind of situation, allowing smaller stations to share programmes and facilities with sister stations nearby.
