WRN helps Absolute on Freesat

Virgin Radio, soon to be known as Absolute Radio has launched on channel 724 of the Freesat platform with the help of TV and radio transmission company WRN.

WRN has also launched sister stations Absolute Classic Rock and Absolute Xtreme onto channels 725 and 726 respectively, joining other services such as XFM, Capital, Choice and NME Radio.
“As ever, we're extremely keen to adopt new distribution media and make Absolute Radio available to listeners howsoever they wish to listen to us.” Says Chris Lawson, brand director, Absolute Radio. “Digital innovation is in our DNA and continues to be of prime importance to us.”
Sophie Wilson, head of sales and business development manager at WRN, says: “WRN is always at the front of new platform developments and we are very pleased to have partnered with Absolute Radio to launch their stations on Freesat.
