Management at Essex FM have found themselves in trouble after a recent unauthorised publicity stunt involving Martin and Su's Breakfast Show.
Essex FM's owner Global Radio has issued a statement to RadioToday.co.uk after we contacted them to find out why the breakfast duo were suspended last week.
A Global Radio spokesman said:
“Essex FM appears to have undertaken an unauthorised publicity stunt, which involved the station’s breakfast show. Clearly this was a foolish attempt to mislead the public and we apologise to listeners. Global Radio is holding an enquiry and will take the appropriate action.”
The station gained publicity on ITV's Anglia Tonight on Tuesday. Martin and Su will return to the breakfast show tomorrow.
