Ex-Hallam jock joins Peak FM

Former Hallam FM presenter and Power FM programmer Nik Martin is joining UTV Radio station Peak FM as the new programme manager, replacing Chris Buckley.

Chris left the station in September to take up the role of programme controller at UTV Radio’s new north west station, 106.5 Central Radio
Nik has spent time at time at Chiltern Radio, Radio Luxembourg and Piccadilly Radio in the past. He also held the programme manager position at Power FM and Ocean FM and was project manager for K Radio and Kerrang. He was most recently National Programme Head for Radio City 91.1 in Mumbai.
John Dash, UTV Radio (GB), group programming director, said: “I’m delighted that Nik is joining the team at Peak FM. He is someone who can help Peak FM realise its potential so I’m looking forward to seeing him put his own stamp on the station.”
Nik Martin said: “This is a fantastic role in radio and I cannot wait to get stuck in. There is a great team at Peak FM who all have a real passion for the station which is great to see.”
