Five Laser stations sold

Five of Laser Broadcasting's nine stations have been sold after the company was recently put into administration.
Bath FM, Brunel FM, 3TR and two QuayWest stations have been snapped up by property developer John Roberts, owner of South West Radio Ltd.

The deal, which has been announced by business rescue specialist Begbies Traynor doesn't seem to agree with previous reports that Triple Media, currently 'looking after' Bath FM, wanted to buy the station on its own.
Triple Media chief executive Gary Cottier-Jansen has been running the station on Laser's behalf for the last few weeks.

The fate of the remaining stations, Sunshine 106.2, Sunshine Gold, Sunshine AM and Fresh Radio is unclear. Laser went into administration two weeks ago after facing a winding-up order from a creditor.
