Galaxy joins Xfm in Salford

Salford Quays is becoming Radio City long before the currently-under-construction Media City is completed as Galaxy leaves Manchester to join Xfm and Gold.

Galaxy is currently based at The Triangle in Manchester city centre but will join new found friends Xfm and Gold in Exchange Quay, Salford Quays on Monday.
As the official takeover of GCap Media by Global Radio approaches, all three stations will be part of the same company. A spokesperson told RadioToday.co.uk: "The staff will move over to the new location by Monday 13th October and the company hopes to have the entire move complete within a month."
Once the move is complete, Salford Quays will be the home of six commercial radio stations, Smooth Radio, Century Radio, Gold, Xfm, Rock Radio and Galaxy. BBC Radio Manchester and 5 Live will also re-locate there in 2010.
