Revenue growth for TLRC

The Local Radio Company has reported a two per cent increase in revenue in the last 12 months, with its national sales house First Radio Sales contributing to the success.

Online sales now represent five per cent of turnover for the company, following investment made last year.
Most recently TLRC has sold their 64 per cent stake in Central FM for just over half a million pounds, and sold various other stations to either Laser Broadcasting or individuals.
On Monday at 7pm, TLRC will re-launch Jazz FM under licence from GMG Radio, and has the rights to the operate the station for an initial three year period.
In a trading update on Friday, the company said: "In common with the media industry as a whole it has been a difficult year for radio advertising sales, particularly during the last six months.
