Revolution boys head to Tameside

Two former presenters on 96.2 The Revolution before the recent format flip have joined nearby community station Tameside Radio whilst setting up their own station, Radio Republic.

Phil Beckett and Martin Coogan will host their Radio Republic programming on 103.6 FM Tameside Radio from Monday 27th October, Mondays to Thursdays between 11pm and 1am.
Phil said: “We are both looking forward to getting back on the radio and having a bit of nobble! We’ve got loads of new tunes that need airing and we’ll be playing some great classics too. We both want to thank Tameside radio for letting two nutters back on the air, hopefully they won’t regret it."
Andy Hoyle, Tameside Radio’s programme director said “We are delighted to have secured the talents of Phil and Martin. Their knowledge of the Manchester music scene combined with their passion make them a natural for us. Radio Republic has a strong following and we are very happy to give that following a radio station to listen to. Tameside Radio regularly feature unsigned artistes in our programming and we are delighted to extend this. Our regular unsigned show on Tuesday evening and our Alternative Rock show will remain."
