Strong start for NME Radio

NME Radio's first official listening figures show a positive start for the digital-only brand. The station, currently temporarily broadcasting on FM in London, has achieved a weekly reach of 215,000 listeners.

Sammy Jacob, managing director of NME Radio, says: “This is a great result for us at this stage of our launch programme. We are targeting platforms that are right for our audience, we’re delivering the bands and artists they love and we’ll continue to innovate in terms of programming and delivery of creative solutions for our commercial partners.”
This week station picked up an award for "Best use of Online for Marketing a Station" at the NDL Radio Academy Promotions and Marketing Awards.
The station is available on Sky 0184, Virgin Media 975, Freesat 727 and online. It is currently broadcasting a 28-day promotional RSL in London and is set to hit Manchester on 10 November.
