Dream's over in Winchester

Winchester's Dream 107.2 is to become part of an enlarged Radio Hampshire, thanks to a new deal between the two owners, Tindle Radio and Town and Country Broadcasting.
Just four hours per day of local programming will separate the output, which will all broadcast from Southampton.

Town and Country Broadcasting founder Jason Bryant remains the lead shareholder in the enlarged Radio Hampshire, along with original Radio Hampshire investor Mike Franklin. The two individuals are joined as shareholders by Tindle Radio Holdings.
Radio Hampshire will now be operated as a stand-alone station, away from Town and Country Broadcasting’s corporate structure.
Brian Doel, Chairman of Tindle Radio Holdings Ltd, said; “There is sound commercial logic to this deal. We are looking forward to working with the Radio Hampshire team to develop a truly local business in the County”.
Jason said; “This deal leaves Town and Country Broadcasting focussed on its market leading stations in Wales and presents an opportunity for the enlarged Radio Hampshire to develop a stronger, multi-station business in southern England.”
Tindle’s Finance Director Colin Christmas joins the Radio Hampshire’s board of directors. Colin added; “We believe there are significant commercial benefits that can be driven from the natural affinity that exists between Southampton and Winchester”.
