Blackmore helps Sony hopefuls

Tim Blackmore MBE is hosting a Radio Academy event in Yorkshire on Monday 25th January, to explain How To Win A Sony.

Tim is the Chairman of judges for the annual awards, and is hoping to share some insider knowledge.

The event is taking place at BBC Humberside in Hull, and registration is required to attend but entry is free for all.

Besides being chairman of the Sony Radio Academy Awards Committee, Tim will answer questions about how the radio industry may develop in the coming months and years.

Tim helped launch Radio One in 1967, and has been at the vanguard of development in independent production and commercial radio ever since.

When he's not chairing the awards, Tim's the Editorial Director of the independent production group, UBC, which made 600 hours of radio programmes last year, including for BBC Radio 2, the Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie Show and Pick of the Pops, for BBC Radio 4, Jon Roson On… and Something Understood and documentaries for BBC 1Xtra, Real Radio and Smooth Radio.
