Northsound 1 has axed one of its daytime presenters – John Milne – in order, it says, to reflect the format of other FM stations.
The decision will leave Northsound with Greigsy at Breakfast, John Mellis from 10am until 2pm, Backtraxx Decades for an hour after that and Andy James from 3pm until 7pm.
A Northsound spokesman told the Evening Express newspaper that: “The decision was made to allow the station to be streamlined like other FM stations who only have three daytime DJs.
Milne will continue to present his Sunday show on the network and also step in to present a regular Saturday afternoon show from this weekend.
