Stewart sails from The Coast

The Coast's managing director Kevin Stewart to to depart The Coast after 15 months, but will continue on as a music consultant until April.

Kevin was hired by new owners Celador in September 2008 to oversee the launch of the station, after the company bought Original 106 and had it rebranded.

Bob Hoad, ex-Managing Director of Southern FM and until recently Community Relations Director at Global Radio, will take over the interim position of The Coast Managing Director from Monday 25th January 2010, until a permanent executive is appointed.

Celador and the Coast Chairman, Paul Smith, commented: “Kevin has been with us right from the beginning. The last year has presented a tough trading climate and Kevin has brought all of his skill to this challenging role. I cannot thank him enough for that and will be sorry to see him go.”
