Wave 105’s Managing Director, Martin Ball, not content with climbing up Mount Kilimanjaro, will be doing the London Marathon.
Martin has already raised £11,000 for station charity Cash for Kids, and hopes to raise even more on April 25th.
The money raised so far went towards a relief and relaxation space for teenagers with cancer at Southampton General Hospital.
Martin comments: “We had an incredible amount of support from local businesses, Wave 105 listeners and advertisers when we took our Kilimanjaro climbing team to Africa, so I was inspired to carry on fundraising and I’m now in training for the London Marathon. With Christmas and New Year Celebrations out of the way I am focused and I am undertaking a very different training schedule to my Kilimanjaro one.”
