Andy Parfitt to talk to students

The Student Radio Association has secured the services of BBC Radio 1 controller Andy Parfitt to speak at the Student Radio Conference.

Andy will speak to a delegation of over 200 student broadcasters about his thoughts on the future of radio broadcasting.

The conference is due to take place at Nottingham Trent University from 29th to the 31st of March and is hosted by local student radio station Fly FM.

Fly enjoyed success at the years’ BBC Radio 1 Student Radio Awards, taking a silver in the Best Station category, and a gold in the Best Newcomer category for presenter Martyn Littlewood.

The National Student Radio Conference is run annually by the Student Radio Association and has always received strong support across the radio industry. Andy Parfitt’s attendance highlights the industry’s continued support and commitment for the ongoing development of student radio and the talent it generates.
