UBC was named independent production company of the year at the first ever Radio Production Awards, while former BBC Head of Radio Drama John Tydeman picked up the lifetime achievement award.
They were recognised at the ceremony organised by The Radio Academy in London on Thursday night.
Among the other big winners were Francesca Panetta of The Guardian who won in two categories – Best Online Producer and The Creative Award. Global Radio also took two awards, for Galaxy Manchester's James Wilson (Best Newcomer) and XFM's Chris Denman (Live Music Producer – Studio Session).
The BBC took one top honour -Catherine Miller from BBC News was named Best Factual Producer.
