Commercial radio presenter Alex Dyke is joining BBC Radio Solent to host a new Saturday lunchtime show.
Alex is best know for his rather long stint at Isle of Wight Radio, and on the TLRC network hosting the phone-in show. He has also previously worked for Ocean Sound.
He has recently been with ESPN Radio in Florida, but now he's back and ready for his new gig: "I'm lucky enough to do a job I love and have been able to keep doing it pretty much every day for over 20 years.
"But the opportunity to present on BBC Radio Solent is not one I would want to miss. I've loved working on American radio, it's been a great year and a great experience. But we are also excited to be coming home."
Welcoming Alex to Radio Solent, Managing Editor Chris Carnegy said: "I am so pleased Alex has agreed to bring his talents to Solent and join our weekend line-up.
"He's a seasoned radio presenter who's been on the region's airwaves for 25 years.
"But the two things I'm most keen to take advantage of are his passion for our patch – he's born and bred on the Isle of Wight – and his encyclopaedic musical knowledge.
"We are delighted to have snapped him up on his return to the UK."
