One lucky reporter at Yorkshire Radio is joining the Yorkshire Cricket team as they travel to Barbados for the pre-season tour.
The station’s cricket correspondent, Mike Rossiter, provided regular interviews and match score updates from the Caribbean.
The digital radio station covered Yorkshire throughout the weekend with ball-by-ball commentary on the Barbados Twenty20 Cup matches.
Ben Fry, Yorkshire Radio’s Station Director, said: "Yorkshire Radio is very pleased to be joining Andrew Gale and his Yorkshire squad in Barbados . Last year’s trip to Abu Dhabi was a great success for Yorkshire Radio and this year we will be ramping up our coverage even more, covering all things cricket and providing our listeners with a bit of a flavour of Barbados life too. Barbados is a cricket mad island and hopefully we can bring some Caribbean sunshine through the airwaves after what’s been a very cold winter in Yorkshire."
The station, which is owned by Leeds United Football CLub, broadcasts on DAB in Yorkshire and nationally on Sky Digital.
