Galaxy's network afternoon presenter Matt Spokes is leaving the Global Radio station to take up the Late Show at Key 103 in Manchester.
Matt has been with the station for a number of years, and originally started with Galaxy in the North East before landing a networked show.
In a memo to staff, new Galaxy Group Programme Director Brent Tobin said: "I'd like to thank Matt for all his time at Galaxy – from his time in the
Northeast to his very successful spell on the network these last couple of years. He's been a big part of all things Galaxy and will be missed. I'd
also like to wish him well in his new role as he moves to Key 103 in Manchester. I think I'm right in saying he won't miss the commute!"
Matt, who can currently be heard on all Galaxy stations except the South Coast, makes the move at the end of October.
Key 103’s Programme Director, Gary Stein, comments: “Matt will make an excellent addition to the team and we’re looking forward to welcoming him in November. It won’t take long for him to become a part of the Key 103 family, with his marriage to Chelsea next year making it official!”
