Rob Edwards has been appointed as Bauer Radio's new Local Commercial Web Manager to help increase revenue from the group's web presence.
He was previously at rival Global Radio where he was in charge of the Broadcast Recruitment Unit, and will be based out of Hallam FM in Sheffield for his new role.
Bauer say Rob will be responsible for leading the development of its radio station advertising and sponsorship web business and will report to the group's Development Director Iain Clasper.
Iain told RadioToday.co.uk:"Rob has been working with us in Yorkshire and the North West on a consultancy basis for the past 3 months and has given us a valuable insight in how we can move our local revenue forward, I am delighted that he has agreed to join us bringing a wealth of experience in online and radio that can help drive our revenue locally and through our Workmoose recruitment classified business."
Rob added: "I am excited to join Bauer’s online business at such an exciting time as they launch their new network of web sites, Web Player, iphone and android apps and launch new linked business such as their award winning recruitment business."
Before joining Global Radio, Rob was at Advertising Agency TMP Worldwide as an Interactive Consultant and The Guardian Newspaper as Category Sales Manager.
