Bauer brings families together

Ten Bauer radio stations including Metro Radio and Wave 105 are taking part in a charity promotion to encourage families to spend more time together.

The group’s ‘family day’ will see stations offer discounted tickets to family attractions in their regions, as well as organise special events for listeners to attend.

Families will be asked to make a donation for the discounted tickets and passes, which will go towards Cash for Kids, Bauer’s charity appeal which helps for sick and underprivileged children in local communities.

Cath Ellington, Managing Director of Bauer’s radio charities, said: “Our annual Cash for Kids Day is all about celebrating the family unit and encouraging parents and children to spend more time together. We hope it will benefit not only those families who enjoy taking part, but also the families in the local community who are supported by Cash for Kids and may not have as much opportunity to spend days out together.”

Sponsors Foresters will also be heavily involved in each city, not only helping to supervise the ‘Big Day Out’ activities, but also volunteering to man the phone lines and collect donations.
