McMorrow swaps Bauer’s City for Aire

Radio City 96.7 Programme Controller Euan McMorrow is moving to Bauer’s Leeds station Radio Aire next month to take up the role of Programme Director.

Euan’s previous stations include Kerrang and Key 103, and he was named Programmer of the Year at last year’s Sony Awards.

Bauer Media say he’ll work with current Radio Aire Programme Controller Stuart Morgan to ‘develop and deliver the station’s Leeds’ focused programming strategy’ when he makes the move on Monday 8th August.

Euan said: “I had to jump at the chance of working at Radio Aire, a station that has seen so many iconic broadcasters come through its doors. To join at a time when the station has so much potential is especially exciting.”

One of his first jobs will be to find a replacement breakfast show team – current presenters JK and Joel are leaving the station at the end of this week after two years on air.

Bauer’s Yorkshire Regional Programme Director Anthony Gay added: “Euan has a strong track record of producing talent and creativity and having worked with him before I know he will add focus and pace to the station.”

No replacement has been announced yet for Euan at Radio City.
