Bauer Media has promoted Bruce Mitchell to a newly-created role overseeing digital operations across all of the group’s 42 radio stations.
Bruce was previously responsible for the digital teams at Kiss and Magic in London but now becomes ‘Digital Product and Innovation Director, Radio’ for the whole group.
Bauer say he has successfully developed an ‘outstanding online presence’ for both Kiss and Magic 105.4 where he has pioneered the Kiss Kube and Magic myPlayer as well as working on the industry-wide UK Radioplayer.
We’re told the new role will include Bruce taking leadership of innovation around all Bauer’s radio websites and other emerging platforms – and he’ll also work on creative offerings for clients and agencies.
Andrea Kilbourne, Digital Director of Lifestyle and Radio at Bauer said: “I have no doubt Bruce will bring great energy and expertise to this critical growth role. The commercial edge he delivers every day at Kiss and Magic 105.4, alongside his deep technical knowledge, will prove invaluable as we develop and refine our radio offer in this exciting and evolving area of our business.”
Bruce, who has been at Bauer London for three years, added “I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to drive forward Bauer’s Digital platforms and create exciting, innovative products for our advertisers and consumers. I’m looking forward to continuing to work with the award winning team on Kiss and Magic 105.4 and now with our radio brands across the Bauer portfolios to deliver further innovations in the coming months.”
