Capital Scotland brand hits the rails

Capital FM Scotland have unveiled the station’s first official branded subway train carriage.

The car will be part of the train network that takes commuters around Glasgow’s 15 underground stations over the next 12 months.

Capital presenters Des Clarke, Jennie Cook, Garry Spence and Adele Cunningham joined Strathclyde Partnership for Transport underground for the launch yesterday (Tuesday)

Breakfast Show host Des said: “We’re delighted that we already wake up hundreds of thousands of the city’s commuters on-air, now we can give them a lift into town too!”

Co-presenter Jennie added: “Des has been like a little boy all day. I think this is the closest he’s got to fulfilling his dream of being a train driver.”

105-106 Capital FM Managing Director Paul Cooney told RadioToday.co.uk: “You certainly won’t miss the Capital carriage and I am sure it will bring a smile to the faces of passengers as they commute around the great city of Glasgow.”

SPT Assistant Chief Executive Valerie Davidson added: “We’re absolutely delighted with our new collaboration with Capital FM and the new Subway carriage looks brilliant. It will certainly catch the attention of all our passengers and the station’s listeners. I hope that everyone who hears mention of it on air will think about using the Subway.”
