Radio 2 afternoon show presenter Steve Wright is to take to the stage at the Radio Academy’s massive radio event later this year in Salford.
The former Radio 1 breakfast jock will host a session called ‘Best at Breakfast’, featuring Z100’s Elvis Duran on the panel.
The discussion on morning shows will take place late on the Tuesday afternoon as part of the three-day Radio Festival that kicks off on 31 October at The Lowry theatre.
John Myers, Chief Executive of The Radio Academy said: “Steve Wright is right at the top of his game. He knows radio; he knows about breakfast radio, he knows about personality. He is the perfect host for this session and we all look forward to seeing him at the Festival.”
Other big names already announced for this year’s Radio Festival include BBC Director General Mark Thompson, Google executive Matt Brittin and Radio 2 presenter Bob Harris who’ll be the ‘big interview’ at the end of the event.
