The UK’s national commercial speech station talkSPORT is heading to America.
The UTV Media station will be available to an extra 21 million subscribers on Satellite Radio platform SiriusXM from Saturday, ready for the new football season.
Under the terms of the deal, SiriusXM’s existing weekend coverage of the Premier League will be joined by Weekend Sports Breakfast with Mark Saggers and Micky Quinn.
Other weekend programmes such as Call Collymore, Football First and The Press Pass will be broadcast live, whilst on weekdays, The Sports Breakfast withby Alan Brazil and Ronnie Irani, and Drive Time with Darren Gough Adrian Durham will also appear.
The shows will be broadcast live, and will be followed by repeats.

Steve Cohen, SiriusXM’s SVP of Sports Programming, said: “The addition of talkSPORT programming is a terrific enhancement to our line-up and offers a higher level of access for US-based soccer fans. In addition to live Premier League matches, our listeners will now get some of the UK’s best sports talk.”
The news comes as BBC Radio 1 is removed from the platform – with the corporation giving no indication of a return date.
