Oxford radio stations Jack FM and Glide FM are running their second major wedding promotion of the year by giving away a £6,000 event at a local hotel.
It follows the ‘2 Strangers and a wedding‘ competition in the Spring which saw a Jack listener marry a Glide listeners.
The latest promotion will see nearly 100 couples competing to score points for publicising themselves – and the radio stations – to be the ‘most creative, visible, loved-up couple in Oxfordshire’.
The prize is a personal wedding planner plus everything paid for on the big day itself at the Oxford Thames Four Pillars Hotel in Sandford upon Thames.
We’re told the couples – some mixed sex, some same sex – will get double points for dressing up in wedding attire during the two weeks of competition.
JACKfm and glide fm Programme Controller Sue Carter said: “Everybody loves a good wedding but they can be incredibly costly, so we wanted to help two people out with what can be the most expensive day of their lives. We’re looking forward to seeing what our brides and grooms get up to – with maximum points awarded for creativity. May the best couple win!”
Jack FM in Hertfordshire ran a similar promotion earlier this year too, called My Big Fat Jack Wedding.
