Wrighty signs new deal at Absolute Radio

Ex-footballer Ian Wright has re-signed for Absolute Radio, with the station also extending the deals for fellow Rock N Roll Football team members Russ Williams and Jim Proudfoot.

The deal will see the Arsenal and England legend stay on for the 2012/13 Premier League season.

His show is being extended to run 5-7pm on a Saturday teatime, and he’ll also present a new Saturday morning music programme on digital station Absolute Radio 70s.

The station’s Head of Presentation Paul Sylvester said: “We are extremely pleased with how Rock ‘N’ Roll football has grown and Ian Wright is integral to its success. Wrighty is a joy to work with and the decision to extend his show and develop his presence at the station with new slots on Absolute Radio and Absolute Radio 70s was a was a no brainer for us.”
