Former BBC Radio 1 DJ Dave Lee Travis has been arrested by officers from Metropolitan Police’s Operation Yewtree at his home in Leighton Buzzard.
Reports say the Magic AM network presenter was taken to Aylesbury Police station at 7:45am after being arrested on suspicion of sexual offences.
He is the fourth person to be arrested as part of the investigation which began after allegations were made against fellow Radio 1 host Jimmy Savile.
DLT spent 25 years on the national station before resigning live on-air in 1993.
On leaving Radio 1, Travis hosted a networked Sunday morning show across some of the UK’s commercial radio stations.
He also worked at Garrison Radio and Classic Gold, then went back to the BBC to host Sunday mornings on BBC Three Counties Radio in 2003.
He now hosts the DLT Show on Bauer Media’s Magic stations in the North of England each Saturday and Sunday morning.
The Metropolitan Police would not confirm the identity of the person arrested, but said they came under the ‘others’ strand of the investigation.
UPDATE 10PM: Dave Lee Travis has been released on bail to return to police on a date in early January.
