Community radio station The Hub set to close

The Hub is entering it to its last week of broadcasting as it gets ready to close on Friday 28th October at 17:00.

The community radio station started broadcasting in 2014 around Mid Cornwall via three transmitters, on 106.4 in Mevagissey, 106.4 in St Mawes and 106.1 in Truro.

A spokesperson for The Hub said: “Our team of volunteers has worked so hard to keep this community radio station running. Unfortunately, due to reasons beyond our control, we will cease broadcasting on Friday 28th October at 17:00 hours. This is not a decision we have taken lightly, and Ofcom has been very patient with us.

On behalf of all our volunteers at The Hub, I’d like to thank you for listening to us and for letting us be your soundtrack to life in Mid Cornwall since 2014.”
