Fun Kids has launched its first spin-off service for preschoolers and their parents called Fun Kids Junior.
Fun Kids Junior has been a show on the main Fun Kids service, on-air between 9am and 1pm when older children are at school.
The new service is now live in parts of London and the South East on DAB+ via the Surrey & South London multiplex.
Managing Director of Children’s Radio UK, Gregory Watson says: “Fun Kids has always been a radio station for the whole family, but it concentrates on 6 to 12-year-olds. Parents and our little listeners love our Fun Kids Junior show so much that we thought it was time for them to have their own full-time radio station.”
Station Manager of Fun Kids and Fun Kids Junior, Matt Deegan told RadioToday: “Adults have hundreds of radio stations, it’s only fair that kids have more choices on their radio dials, or what they ask Alexa to play them.”
The launch of Fun Kids Junior will be supported with promotion on Fun Kids, its web and social channels and across its large podcast network.
Good morning! We’ve got a new radio station for you.
