DCMS, KPMG, BBC and Somethin’ Else are lined up for AudioUK’s Brexit Readiness Event this Friday, October 25th.
Ian O’Neill, Programme Director for Radio at the DCMS, Punam Birly, Brexit Lead for Immigration at KPMG, Simon Morrissey, BBC Legal Director Information & Rights and Steve Ackerman of content producer Somethin’ Else are among the speakers confirmed for the Audio UK event “Is Your Audio Business Ready For Brexit?”
The all-day event at the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith on Friday will offer advice to audio producers, podcasters, and other audio sector professionals about what to think about in the event of Britain’s withdrawal from the EU.
Sessions will cover changes to copyright, IP, employment, travel, transport, partnership agreements, data management.
Speakers will be considering the impact of a No Deal Brexit on the UK audio sector as well as looking forward to the challenges of developing an export business beyond the EU for audio.
The event, which is being produced with finance from the UK Government’s Business Readiness Fund, will be hosted by radio and TV broadcaster Georgie Frost.
