CEO Darren Dorrington is leaving MKFM in Milton Keynes after 12 years running the business.
Darren started the station on DAB Digital Radio in 2013, personally funding the initial launch.
Following a campaign to bring local radio back to FM in Milton Keynes, Darren secured a debate in Parliament with local MP Iain Stewart on community radio licensing which eventually assisted MKFM obtain a full time FM licence during 2015.
Confirming his departure, Darren Dorrington said: “I’m grateful to everyone who has supported MKFM over the past twelve years.
“During my time with the business, MKFM has developed from an amateur radio station to an organisation that has the platforms through radio, social media and our website to deliver vital information and entertainment as well as support to our ever-growing community.”
Darren will remain as a non-executive Director.
