BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge is coming up to its twenty fifth anniversary and to celebrate, the Top 25 performances will be counted down on air.
The station has delved into the Live Lounge archives to reveal the top twenty-five performances as voted for by the Radio 1 presenters.
Amy Winehouse’s cover of The Zutons’ ‘Valerie’ – performed in 2007 – has claimed the top spot voted as the number one Radio 1 Live Lounge cover of all time.
The Top Ten Radio 1 Live Lounge Covers are:

- Arctic Monkeys – Love Machine (Girls Aloud cover)
- Arctic Monkeys – Hold On We’re Going Home (Drake cover)
- Adele – Promise This (Cheryl cover)
- Ben Howard – Call Me Maybe (Carly Rae Jepsen cover)
- Disclosure ft. Sam Smith – Hotline Bling (Drake cover)
- 30 Seconds to Mars – Stay (Rihanna cover)
- Bastille – We Can’t Stop (Miley Cyrus cover)

Amy Winehouse’s cover of ‘Valerie’ was the first-ever performed in the Maida Vale studios for Radio 1’s Live Lounge presented by Jo Whiley.

Bank Holiday Monday is Live Lounge Day on Radio 1 and the Top 25 Live Lounge Covers will be played 6am until 6pm.
