Radio 2’s traffic presenter Sally Boazman joined Hospital Radio Ipswich recently to help launch a new service for patients.
Sally Traffic joined presenter Rick Double in the studio during the Sunday Breakfast show along with station Chair Stephen Foster.
Together they announced the launch of the station’s new app, allowing more people to listen outside of hospital.
The Chair thanked both the team at Hospital Radio Ipswich and Radio Caroline presenter Pat Edison, who helped with the development of the app.
“We’re here to entertain and inform and most especially, to keep patients company during their stay in hospital” said Stephen, “so we feel it’s really important to make listening to our 24/7 programmes as easy and convenient as possible.
“We know that patients carry on listening to us when they leave hospital and we hope that trend will only increase with our new app.”
Sally, who lives in Suffolk, said: “Congratulations on developing the app! It’s a brilliant way of bringing the programmes of this wonderful radio station to a wider audience, both in and out of hospital.”
