Northampton’s NLive Radio has introduced a new weekly politics show dedicated to providing coverage of local elections and beyond.
The programme aims to keep residents informed about key political developments, fostering engagement with local democracy.
The show debuts on Sunday, 6th April, at 9am with special guest Kate Ironside, a former Westminster political journalist and Senior Lecturer in Journalism at the University of Northampton.
She will offer expert analysis on the political landscape and discuss the issues most relevant to voters ahead of the local elections.
All major political parties have confirmed participation, ensuring a balanced discussion in the run-up to the elections on 1st May as per Ofcom requirements.
Listeners will gain insight into party policies, candidate positions, and election developments. The programme also encourages community engagement, inviting residents to submit questions and topics for discussion via the station’s website.
Following the elections, the show will continue, featuring local MPs and councillors who will provide updates on their work and address public concerns.
Listeners can tune in every Sunday at 9am on 106.9FM, online, via the station’s app, or through smart speakers. Episodes will also be available on-demand through the NLive Radio website.
