Geoff Lloyd’s Hometime Show on Absolute Radio can now be heard on its sister stations – edited and shifted to a later time slot.
Absolute Radio 70s and Absolute Radio 00s will broadcast a two-hour edited version of the show from 8pm – 10pm Monday to Thursday. It will feature the best bits of the earlier live three hour show on Absolute Radio.
A time-shifted programme will also be broadcast on Absolute Radio 60s from 9pm – 11pm, also Monday to Thursday.
The station tells us it’s part of a wider strategy to increase the amount of programmes and personality on their digital stations – such as The Christian O’Connell Breakfast Show broadcast across live the entire network between 6am and 10am weekdays, and Frank Skinner’s time-shifted show networked on every station on Saturdays 9am to 12 noon.
The time-shift allows the digital stations to continue play their usual playlist but benefit from content created elsewhere.
Absolute Radio’s Head of Presentation Paul Sylvester said: “Geoff Lloyd is a unique and award-winning talent, and this move means listeners will never miss his Hometime show, whether they are driving to and from work or tuning-in at home.”
