Kia Motors are to sponsor all of talkSPORT’s Ashes content on-air and online throughout the summer in a new deal.
The multiplatform agreement will see Kia sponsor Ashes related features, interviews, score updates and editorial on-air as well as an outside broadcast and competitions during the five Ashes Tests this July and August.
talkSPORT’s Drive Time show, co-hosted by former England cricketer Darren Gough, will run Kia branded features plus a competition which will see a listener ‘Take on Darren Gough’.
Drive will host an outside broadcast from The Kia Oval on Day 1 of the fifth Ashes Test.
Kia branding will also appear online and in talkSPORT’s sister publication Sport magazine on all cricket coverage in the magazine throughout the Ashes Test Series.
Anthony Hogg, Head of Creative Solutions, talkSPORT, said: “The Ashes is one of the key sporting events of 2013 and with ex-England cricketers Darren Gough and Ronnie Irani as part of our presenting team, talkSPORT will be giving listeners in-depth news and opinions throughout the series.
“As one of the country’s biggest cricket sponsors, it’s fantastic to have a brand like Kia involved in our Ashes coverage. This partnership demonstrates the kind of bespoke opportunities that we can offer big brands around specific sports or events to reach our listeners.”
