Tonight in his 6 Music show, Steve Lamacq announced that Pixies will perform a live gig for fans at Maida Vale Studios.

The gig, on Thursday 26 September, will be filmed for broadcast on the Red Button on Friday 11 October.

Steve Lamacq said, “Pixies are undoubtedly one of the most iconic bands of the modern rock scene. With a shadow that looms large, it will be amazing to have them bring their dynamic and evocative sound live to BBC 6 Music.”
