Football commentator Jim Proudfoot is heading back to talkSPORT ahead of this summer’s 2014 FIFA World Cup.
The UTV station will broadcast full commentary of every match of the tournament live from Brazil this year.
Jim will join talkSPORT’s commentators including Stan Collymore and Sam Matterface and will commentate across the station’s roster of matches including Barclays Premier League, FA Cup and England internationals.
Liam Fisher, talkSPORT Programme Director told RadioToday: “Jim is a fantastic addition to our team for one of our busiest years yet. With the 2014 World Cup alongside our Premier League and Cup commentaries, talkSPORT provides unrivalled football coverage with the best voices on radio.”
Jim Proudfoot said: “I am thrilled to be returning to talkSPORT, and am looking forward to becoming part of a team who have extended the boundaries of sports broadcasting in this country. talkSPORT has an excellent portfolio of rights across so many competitions and the chance to talk to listeners through every step of the World Cup is a prospect I am really looking forward to.”
