In a review of radio consolidation in today’s Business Scotsman, GMG Radio boss John Myers talks about recent events regarding the possible merger of UTV and SMG.
John told the newspaper: “There will be more consolidation in the radio sector. Is SMG in play? Yes. Is it a question of price? Probably. We want to become a top-three radio group in the UK. If Virgin Radio becomes available, then that’s a station that we would look at.”
